Enrollment is quick and easy. From the manual simply look up the patient's drug and ascertain if the drug is covered by an Assistance Program. Use the CD disk to print out the proper application form. It's that quick! The individual completes his personal information. Your participation includes supplying medical information, a prescription slip, and signing the form. Some drug companies require a simple letter from your office stating the patient's financial hardship in purchasing his drugs. The completed forms are mailed to each pharmaceutical company; the drugs are shipped to your patient or to your office.
Please keep in mind these programs may not be familiar to you as the drug companies do not advertise their existence. While they don't encourage publicity, in 2000 Pfizer Corporation alone provided free drugs through their Assistance Programs to over 600,000 qualified individuals who needed help.
